Hello!
I have downloaded Sims 4 Legacy Edition, and I quickly found that it was not working. I found this, but the problem is I don’t have the option bar. The only one I have is the language bar. So I was wondering what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it, that way I can go back to playing The Sims 4.

@Faythie02 Need more information. Is your computer a pc or mac? If pc what operating system are you using? If pc is your operating system 32 bit or 64 bit? Did the game ever work correctly? If pc please attach dxdiag.

hello, i had just installed the SIMS4 legacy on origin and when it was done I saw the same SIMS4 but not SIMS4 legacy and when I click the game to open it Origin opens instead and it keeps telling me "The Sims 4 Legacy Edition is now required for players on older Operating Systems and Hardware." can someone help me please? and I tried your first step and it didn't work.

I've been having the same problem but when I was able to get the tab, the option for game properties is greyed out

@BlackjackWidow I went to advanced launch options and i dont have the choice to choose what I would like to launch

Hey I purchased the university game. I have a Mac book but with the launching options, I only have English. Is there a way to get rid a legacy?

@sydneymlawson4 These are the models that don't need the legacy edition: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT205073

If yours is among them, I would suggest to post in the mac forum for further help: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/bd-p/The-Sims-Mac

If your computer doesn't support Metal, I would suggest trying to get a refund for University or if you have the means, look into something newer

I don’t see that option on my sims 4. Is it because I run a Mac?

@BlackjackWidow Hi, I went to do this and thought it might fix my problem but unfortunately I do not have the option to select "when launching this game" as it only has Language and Command line arguments in this window. What do I do here? I am trying to run Sims 4 on a mac

Hello, sorry to bug but I have a window 10 64bit, it installed sims legacy on its own. I tried to do the games properties thing but its not popping up for me. The only thing I can see is the language tab. What else can I do? I've uninstalled it and installed it back and now its saying it won't play without legacy but again I have a widows 10 64 bit so what do I do? The properties thing is not working for me and I'm on PC

What's your Origin Version ?

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post

You're graphics chips doesn't support 64 bit games unfortunately.

Honestly, this whole thing is just stupid. No ill will towards you but EA is just ridiculous.
What graphic card should I have?

@VioletKen Most graphics card/chips are fine.

You can see in the other thread, that I wasn't even aware that there are chips out there that are a problem.

It's mainly about the kind of computer you have. Surfaces and Galaxy Books aren't really made for intensive graphics gaming.
