Reinstall to external drive can’t load saves/mods
I had to reinstall my sims 4 and my computer was getting full so I installed it to my external hard drive. It was installed through steam so the new sims 4 folder doesn’t show in an “electronic arts” folder like it used to. Don’t know if that matters but I can’t figure out how to get my saves, mods (etc.) back. I have tried copying them into the new “the sims 4” folder but that didn’t work. I also tried creating the “Mklink” and it said successful but when I open the game it’s still says “new game” only and not showing my saves. As for mods that folder isn’t showing up at all in the new location that sims was installed to.
I’m kind of at a loss her as I only recently learned about backing up save files and whatnot.
__OnyxxScorpio__ When you first run the game after a reinstall the program makes the folder The Sims 4 in your documents/electronic arts folder. That will still be on your main drive unless you moved it. This is where your saves and mods will be if you didn't delete them.
