Reinstall to external drive can’t load saves/mods

I had to reinstall my sims 4 and my computer was getting full so I installed it to my external hard drive. It was installed through steam so the new sims 4 folder doesn’t show in an “electronic arts”...

    __OnyxxScorpio__​ When you first run the game after a reinstall the program makes the folder The Sims 4 in your documents/electronic arts folder. That will still be on your main drive unless you moved it. This is where your saves and mods will be if you didn't delete them.

    billblogs​ So it’ll create that same folder even though the game is installed on the external drive? In that case do I put my saves/mods back into the respective folders? I moved them to my desktop before uninstalling and reinstalling to my external drive.

      __OnyxxScorpio__​ Yes but make a copy first just in case. Better to be safe than sorry. If you had a lot of gallery stuff you could also copy your tray folder at the same time.

        billblogs​ This worked!! 🥹 Thank you so much! I have been messing with this for day. The sigh of relief I just let out! 😮‍💨 I was assuming they needed to be with the install of the game in a folder somewhere.
