Repair Game option reverts game to its old version (1.121 -> 1.120)

this is just messed up...

• first, I got disconnected by the app, clicking on reconnect did nothing
• so I restarted app only to be greeted by empty tall rectangle
• after multiple cache cleanups I finally managed to open app properly
• update available but it's only 2-7 MB and once completed I'm told to update again (again and again)
• once having successfully updated to 1.121 I then performed repair game (as usual)
• result? I'm now back at 1.120 with no option to update

yeah i got the same thing was playing and closed the game a new update come again and the i got the [d6f91ffb:29f00e76:00000000:4b0d852b] code. Fun thing.

Yes, mine exactly; I also decided to go offline to start the game, that did not work either, got the same popup

I have tried everything this afternoon to get my game updated. I already had my game set up to auto update. I have 0 mods/cc. I have repaired my game, restarted the game, restarted the app, cleared the cache. I'm at a loss and am incredibly frustrated. Are there any other ideas?

delete the file "gameversion.txt" and your game should work (i had the same issue) BUT when youre in the game you wont be able to play with your existing household and saves because "it was created by a newer version" so yeah.....

Same issue, I repaired the game thinking it might fix the game not updating.

Yep, this is exactly what happened to me, exept my App Recovery completely froze, and I had to forcefully shut it down, twice. Then I just stopped trying to clear the Apps cache, but it did seem to helt the download go through, but still no new stuff in game, so I repaired the game, and it reverted to the older version. No Event, no new stair functions, no cas items, no cas tags, no updated family tree, nothing. I did get the Chinese New Years Sale pop-up though, that did not appear at all, the first time i opened my game after the update, so - something did update, just not the game itself. But the ADS, those they added succesfully. 🙄
