Save Files and CC won't show up

 I just updated Sims 4 after not playing for a few months and for some reason all of my save files are gone. When I look under documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves there are still saves there but they will not show up in game. Same for CC/Mods, they're there in the folders but aren't showing up in game

Also I don't know if this is related but if I look at my saved households/lots in my gallery it only shows one lot that I uploaded years ago but every sim I saved to my gallery privately without uploading is gone.. (I'm still logged in on the same Account)

I've tried removing the 'The Sims 4' folder but no new folder appeared for some reason? I've also tried the obvious repairing my game and restarting my laptop. I think the issue is that the game is accessing the wrong folder but i don't know what other folder it could be accessing. I did have a copy of the 'The Sims 4' folder in OneDrive but I disabled and uninstalled OneDrive after I saw it so that shouldn't be causing issues.

Another thing is that when I check the installation location of the game it says it's installed under 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4. However that folder doesn't seem to contain any save data, just the files for the game and expansions themselves. Could the fact that it's installed under Origin somehow be causing the issue?

Does anyone have any idea what I can try to fix this issue? Thank you in advance

    leoraven24​  It sounds like you're not looking at the Sims 4 folder the game is reading.  Here's how to find the location it's currently using:

    You'll need to put your saves and other files in that location.  (The creations you save to your personal library are stored in Tray, in the same Sims 4 folder.)  If this is NOT the location you want Sims 4 to use, we can fix that; in that case, please list the location the game is reading and the one you want to use.
