I carried out the update yesterday. Updated every mod I had that I was aware needed updating, at first I could get into the game but the game would crash going out of CAS whether it was live mode, from the household management or a new save etc so I went OK must be a mod.Dragged out the entire mod folder from my game to be sure, tested it. Still faulting. Removed the entire sims 4 folder so all saves, trays etc will be new, still happening while 100% vanilla. Uninstalled and reinstalled sims, repaired for probably the 07th time. Now when I try to go in (still vanilla, no saves or tray files etc, no mods at all) I get stuck at the loading screen like it can't progress to the main menu option.I've managed to get into the game, but after going into CAS still crashes on exit, ticked to use the direct x9 which seems to have rectified the cas issue except every second attempt im still stuck at the loading screen for the main menu to get into any saves.I've already done every basic troubleshooting method I can think of, just wanting to know if anyone else is stuck like this?

I have been battling all day with this as well. I have tried everything just like you and no luck. I really hope they find a solution soon! I just entered my rot all day playing the sims 4 phase and it's killing me not being able to do anything in cas!

Hi, I have the same issues. Hadn't played for a while. Yesterday I installed all updates and startet my game. My last savegame opens up, but I can't let my sim go back home (she is on a journey). When the loading screen comes up (home should be loading) nothing happens. Screen keeps loading and loading. I repaired the game, I moved the folder as you described it before and I can play with a brand new save game. I put my old savegame in the saves folder and deleted the new save. The "old" save doesn't work again. It keeps hanging/malfunction. I don't use mods.My dxdiag is also ok (no failures found). It also doens't work with DirectX9 nor directx11.Yesterday my sim could get home when I played fully offline, but from there I couldn't do (click) anything. That save is totally broken (doesn't load).So I think one of the updates (maybe the grim reaper challenge) destroyed something. When will there be a fix from ea? Or how can I get my sim and all my rewards, etc. back with a new working savegame?

All the notes on the dxdiag say there was no problem found, but attached is the document you requested.

I'm having the exact same issue expect on a Mac. Haven't played the sims since June. Updated my game, removed all my mods out of the game files. Repaired the game and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing. I can get to the main menu, but if I try to create a sim or play a new save I made when the issues stated, nothing. I get stuck on the loading screen.It's so frustrating. Been playing sims for over a decade and the issues just kept getting worse.

I'm also having the same issue of not being able to go back home. even trying to go home through the map crashes my game and leaves me stuck on the loading screen.

GwenLaw If this lot has the Off the Grid challenge, please remove it.

Otherwise, try moving the sims to a different lot and see how the save runs. You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.

I am having the same problem with my sims game. I've already tried repairing it mulitple times, removed all my mods, start a new save file and repeated those steps while looking stuff up. I have no idea what else to do because everything is up to date. Even when I create a completely new save with no mods it has the same issue

i've been having the same issue as well when trying to load the sims onto my pc. it keeps saying something about the game not loading properly and i get an error code with origin. if anyone can help me that'll be great

PinkGirl2007 If you use Reshade or GShade, please remove it and repair the game (again). The errors in your dxdiag are most commonly related to one of these, at least at the moment.

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean boot:

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

jjaasslleeeenn Please post a screenshot of the error you're getting. Please also provide a dxdiag, that is if your computer runs Windows. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Yay and bummer both. I like that particular challenge :( I've so far been able to move around and go home again after hitting the community lots. Thank you. I didn't have to move them again either.
