Sims 4 Crashes Before Reaching the Main Menu. Please Help!!! =)

I've also tried deleting "localthumbcache.package", renaming Mods folder, repairing Sims 4 through EA App, and disabling overlays.

me too and I have done everything I know to do and it just will not load the game 

What was the problem file? I have narrowed it down to all of my save files.

Yeah, I had tried that a fews times earlier with different saves and as soon as I try to load the old save files ingame it crashes. The update has done something

I cannot access the old save at all.

I can start a new game if I remove all the old saves. I played for about 2 hours with no crashing. Problem is, when I follow the instructions to recover the old saves, when I go to load them in game, the game insta crashes. Every time I open the game after that, it crashes on the loading screen. If I remove all the old saves again, the game will load up and I can play my new save I created after the update. Having them in the folder doesn't seem to matter provided the last save I accessed was the new save. If i try to load and old save, the game will crash every time I open it from then on. That is why I suspect the game is preloading the "last accessed save"  before it loads the main menu screen

bmcmvox​  Do you see a lastexception file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, one that was created at a time when you tried to open one of these saves?  If so, please open the file and delete the first line of text, then attach it to a reply here.

Separately, would you be willing to share an affected save with me, or possibly with EA QA if anyone there is interested?  If so, upload the save to a filesharing site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and either post it here or PM me the link.  I won't share it with anyone without your permission, so please do let me know whether I can pass it along to EA, or to another regular helper here if they ask.
