Sims 4 crashing during traveling screen.

Last week after updating the game i still can login to my game play, i do have mods and CC but everything was fine yet since last night stuck on loading screen i have not choice to force close my game but when i tried to restart my game play select my sim to travel to a hotel, it will load to traveling load screen but out of suddenly my game automatically closed(exit).

Even i didn't travel my game will automatically exit too, i tried to repaired my sims 4 through EA app, but every way didn't solve my problem.

By the way my laptop just bought last month, windows system is windows 11, everything app in my system are new too. why every time update the game this problem will trigger us?

  • The last update came with a change in which DirectX version to use - it's currently set to 11, I think, but if you don't have that installed (or don't want to), you should be able to go back to DirectX 9 via the game's settings. Maybe that fixes the problem.

  • miyukimiumiu  The infinite loading screen and crashes may or may not be related.  For the first, does the lot you're trying to load have the Off the Grid trait?  If so, please remove it, which you can do in Build mode.  Click Load Game rather than Resume, which will take you to Manage Worlds.

For the crashing, does it happen each time you tell your sims to travel to the hotel lot?  Can you load that lot in Build mode?  Is there a pattern to the other crashes, for example did they happen on the same lot or at the same sim-time of day?

Your dxdiag lists a number of crashes that are probably unrelated to Sims 4 but worth addressing.  Please open the Task Manager, click the Startup icon, and tell the Acer Registration software NOT to start with Windows.  If WinZip is on the startup list, disable that at startup too.  Both of these are crahing repeatedly, and you don't need either one running when not actively in use.

Jehane40  The user's dxdiag shows they've most recently been running the DirectX 11 version of Sims 4.  If DX11 weren't installed, the game wouldn't open in DX11 mode at all.  And any computer that can run DirectX 12 (as theirs can) also supports DX11.

      Hi there,

my household sim all of them can travel to another hotel lot but only the hotel lot in Mt. Komorebi world 50×50 lot(seem like the only lot is unable to travel to). I had tried to i tried to go manage world(without resume instead load game) and click build lot, It's seems go to loading screen and later automatically exit my game again. I had tries to repair and move all mod file out. Evenand i go to the world . Meanwhile I disable those app you has mentioned. I really tried all kind of fix but it seem to unable to load it, i am thinking of uninstall the game and tried to install back but the downloading time was way too long.

  • miyukimiumiu  You could try uninstalling and reinstalling only Snowy Escape.  Its folder is EP10 , and the folder you'd want to delete is directly inside [install location]\The Sims 4.

If this doesn't help, and you can't even replace the lot with a different build, the only other fix I can think of would be to save your game without Snowy Escape present.  This would remove all related content from the save, but you could add it back later.  The idea is that you'd get a fresh copy of the world, one without whatever issue you're seeing right now.

If you want to try it, please follow these instructions (for a different problem, but the fix is the same):

yes, i tried to uninstalled the pack on my other account. but i will just play the game without the world at first, because i saw quite a numbers of post with game crashing/loading screen problems, well i guess the old issue always happened when new patch update. Thank you for all the help.
