sims 4 goes black then goes back game screen

idk what is causing my sims 4 to go black screen than back to game, it only does it when it is charging. i tested fortnite and it doesnt do that when its charging. can it be a mod? i updated my graphics driver on nvidia g force and on the laptop. it only works when its not charging. i have a msi katana
