Btw this issue occurs without mods but whenever i have Discord open, when i get in to Sims 4 i can't change speed with keys, can't pause with ESC key, nothing at all except the WASD/Arrow keys work, it is really irritating and i would kindly love a fix for this, i do rely on Keys to quickly pause or change the speed. But after the recent patch i tried to launch the game without Discord nor snip and sketch and it still doesn't work
Jesper123456 Please disable the Discord overlay. If that doesn't work, you can always use Discord in a browser while playing rather than opening the app. But make sure Discord is in fact not running, even in the Task Manager's background processes list.
If you can't type now, with nothing else running in the background, and you've confirmed that nothing is open in the Task Manager, please try putting the game into windowed mode. If you can't change the setting in-game, you can edit Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, to set fullscreen to 0 (zero).

Jesper123456 Is Discord running at all when you play? Please let me know whether the problem only happens with Discord open or more generally. Even if you're not using it, make sure Discord isn't running in the Task Manager's background processes list.
I'm not saying you can't have Discord open while you play, only that it's important to figure out whether it's triggering the issue at the moment. You can also use Discord in a browser if you don't want to figure out why the app isn't cooperating.
