MmeHardy The dxdiag didn't attach, but that's fine for now. Please try the suggestions in the first post of this master thread:
If none of that helps, then I would like to see a dxdiag.
Deleting the user folder (I'd never actually played on this machine, so it should have been empty) did the trick. Thank you.
