Sims game wont open, EA app just reopens

I was able to play after the most recent update/pack but for some reason, now I cant. I've tried the following:

-Restarting my pc

-ending tasks

-Updating pc

-Clearing ea cache

-Renaming mods and ea folders

-removing mods

-removing sims 4 "game version" and "localthumbcache"

-running as admin

-resetting ea folder

im lost so any help is appreciated.

    kasiahlopez​  I don't see anything either, aside from one error in DirectX 9 mode that may not have caused any actual problems.  It's worth trying to play in DX11 mode again.  If you chose DX9 mode from within the game, delete Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 to undo that setting.  If you've forced DX9 mode in the EA App, remove the -dx9 entry under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

    If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  You'll be able to (try to) launch the game without reinstalling anything, but your saves won't be available.  That can be addressed later; for now, just let me know whether the game works.

    kasiahlopez​  Your dxdiag doesn't show any obvious reason why Sims 4 wouldn't work, although your graphics driver is almost two years old and should be updated.  You can get the newest driver here:

    Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart after installing and before doing anything else.

    If that doesn't help, the fact that your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims 4 crashes suggests that the game might be blocked from starting rather than crashing.  So please check your antivirus for any recent actions involving Sims 4 or the EA App, and if necessary, set exceptions for everything being flagged.

    I have been experiencing the exact same since I bought the new pack. The game will not launch at all, it opens EA and then when I try to load in to the game, the game crashes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I have been having the same issue for two weeks now and I haven't even bought the latest game. I don't know what else to do I have also uninstalled, repaired, reinstalled, both the game and ea app and NOTHING IS WORKING. I've deleted all my mods and ccs. I don't know what else to do.

    i am having the same issue except i just purchased the new content and now the game will not launch at all just reopens EA

    kasiahlopez​  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
