someonesmelon Try again with your computer offline. You don't need to wait more than a few minutes, let's say ten to be sure the game isn't going to start working.
If it takes longer than that, create a new admin Windows account and try there. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address. (You can keep saying you don't have that info.) You'll be able to launch the game without reinstalling it, but your saves and other data won't be available. That's fine and can be addressed later.
If the game doesn't start promptly in the new account, then I'd like a new dxdiag.
