TS4 freezing on startup
Hello,
I have been having an on-going issue since updating my PC to Windows 11. I thought that it would've just been the mods so I went into Curse Forge and deleted all mods and went into the Documents > The Sims 4 > Mods and made sure nothing was in the folder other than the Resource file. I repaired the game a number of times and the problem still occurred. I proceed to look up what I could do to resolve the issue if removing the mods didn't work, so I made a second account on Microsoft and when I first opened The Sims it worked, but once I closed the game and re-opened, it happened again on start up and froze! I went into he system and did a re-install of the windows 11 to see if there was something going on and now that the mods were removed, once that was done re-installing I repaired the sims 4 in the EA game app and once that was done, it froze again on the start-up. It always shows blue on start-up but if I click anywhere the screen goes white and I have to do a full restart since the game wont window and or close. I then decided that I was okay with losing my large save file since it may be corrupt and wont repair or alert me, I did a full factory reset after hours or waiting for the computer to be wiped, I redownloaded EA games and then the base games, I tried opening it and it did the same thing. I also forgot to mention I did do a full recycle bin wipe on OneDrive and on my PC, I have looked in every possible folder and cant find mods located anywhere and have no idea what to do at this point to get the game to start. I even deleted all the cache that I possibly could. my save files are all gone and I'm stumped! I figured I would ask here before taking my PC somewhere to get a full breakdown to figure out what is causing it.
zombieeday Please plug your monitor directly into the graphics card rather than into the motherboard as you've currently done. Do so with the computer off, then start it up and see how Sims 4 runs.
