Unable to launch Sims 4

@Da1franksta  Just to be clear, is the EA App itself still failing to open correctly?  If so, that's the issue, not Sims 4: without the App to validate your ownership, the game won't run.  If you can test with another type of connection, for example your phone set as a mobile hotspot (and using data, not your home wifi), please do so and let me know whether it helps.

I was on with EA Help and was told that this was a known issue that is currently being worked on at the moment with a case number.   143487171  

This EA app should not have been in existence without testing. 

THey told me that EA Help twitter will update us.  We will see. 

@Da1franksta  So just to be clear, is the EA App opening normally now and simply not allowing you to play anything?  This isn't really a known issue in the usual sense—the App is working fine for most people, and I haven't seen any information about a specific EA-side problem that would still be current.  As an aside, I've also seen the "could not find an installed entitlement for contentIDs" errors in some of my EA App logs while poking around, but that was on a computer with precisely two games installed, both of which worked fine then and work fine now.

I wasn't actually saying that the problem was your wifi.  I was saying it was worth testing with a different connection, for example your phone as a hotspot, because that would help distinguish between connection or network issues and other problems.  If your computer doesn't support wifi at all, then that's out, but if it does, I'd like to know what happens when it's connected through your phone.  You don't need to download anything; just try to play.

If that doesn't help, or your computer doesn't support wifi, please try playing with the EA App in offline mode.  I expect it won't work but would like to know exactly what error you get.

In any case, please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

See attached I did remove my computer/machine ID information.   Just for personal.   I haven't seen any EA Help twitter information either but they kept ensuring me there was a open issue on it.  I saved the chat transcript with them. My next thing will be to call them.    My desktop does have wifi but I am not using it I connect my gaming computers via wire. 

I cannot play the game in offline it won't show anything.    The exact error message I recieve is Your game failed to Launch An error on our end caused your launch to fail Try again a little later

@Da1franksta  Please uninstall Alienware Command Center.  I'm not sure why it's installed on an Asus computer at all, but it's crashing and should be removed for now.  And try disabling Nahimic, which is causing EA App errors.  Killing it in the Task Manager should be sufficient (and kill A-Volute too if you see it), at least until you reboot your computer, but make sure it doesn't restart itself right away.  If it does, you can disable the service and reboot.  Hit Windows key-r, enter "msconfig" without quotes, find Nahimic on the list, and uncheck it.  The same goes for A-Volute.

If you still can't play Sims 4, uninstall your Razer software as well.  Synapse has crashed recently, but a number of Razer apps can potentially conflict with Sims 4, and disabling them in the Task Manager is apparently not always sufficient to address the issue.  If the game works, you can reinstall the apps, one at a time, and test them out.  Sometimes all it takes to solve the problem is uninstalling and reinstalling, but please do test with the apps gone before proceeding.

@ksrose911  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
