Unable to see sims in CAS

Thank you for explaining. I have tried your suggestion you gave to Chloe. 
The clean file did not work, I am still having the same issue.

No not yet. But it might be worth you trying all the suggestions they have given to me & Chloe. To see if they work for you? 

LilAngelxo​ Im not sure if that is my problem as I have no problems going into a new save in CAS, it lets me make new sims with no problems yet all my old saves are still gone :( 

I took out all of the mods/cc I had in my game, cleared the cache as well as repaired the game itself, but none of these have helped my problem. What’s weird is as I finished updating the game, all my saves were there and I was able to go into the saved game. But upon loading I got a BE pop up which crashed my game. When loading back into the game every save was gone. Anyone have any suggestions? 

Ohh no, I hope someone has some suggestions for this too. We have some similarities on issues but seems like me and Chloe have the CAS issue too. 

LilAngelxo​  Please force the game to open in DirectX 9 mode.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx9 to the command line box.

hotlexilooloo04​  Please post a dxdiag, as described earlier in the thread.  You can try DirectX 9 mode too, but even if it works, I'd like a dxdiag from you so I can collect info from affected players to pass on to anyone at EA who might be interested.

thank you so much. I have done that. I also had an automatic update by sims which updated. I then once updated, added the command you mentioned and now when I go to create new sims, I can see. I also have managed to load into a saved game and can see them too. 

Now I can actually load a game, I will do some other testing to see if anything else is an issue. I assume, if all is okay - I can slowly add any mods, making sure they’re the updated versions

Ever since the August update my Sims 4 game has been broken. The game will launch but cannot load any actual sims? If I try to load a saved game the sims in their households won't show/load, and if I try to go into a household the loading screen will play for a couple of minutes and then freeze. If I try to start a new game CAS is just a black screen with the aspirations/traits/clothing options available but it won't show the sim.

I have already tried repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling both ea and sims 4, deleting the mods and cache folders (though I do not and have never used mods). I am using a computer with windows 7 but the sims 4 have been working great for over a year now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
