Vampire resets when attempting to drink from another Sim

I've recently had one of my sims turned into a vampire, and although I've had the pack for a long time this is the first time I am playing with one of my active sims as a vampire. I am having an issue when it comes to the vampire sim feeding from other sims, out of the 3 options presented (ask permission to drink, compel small drink, compel large drink) only compel small drink works. For the other options, including when permission is asked and granted, the vampire sim shifts into dark mode but then both sims just reset like a debug cheat has been used. I do use mods in the game so I'm wondering if there is some conflict there, but have been unsuccessful in finding any known issue. I'm just wondering if there are any mod clashes that anyone knows of, or if this is an issue that anyone else has come across before and has managed to solve?
