I have been noticing these boxes on my screen for the last few days. I have tried deleting my mods, resetting all settings, making a new Sims 4 folder and even reinstalling the games/ea app (that worked for a few hrs until I booted up this morning). It is also causing this in the Sims 2 as well. What do I do?
kateconverse Do the boxes appear in Sims 4 in any context other than the Main Menu? If so, please post a screenshot or two.
Please also test with all other apps closed, including some (Steam, Discord, etc.) that might be running in the background. You can check the Task Manager's background processes list for any strays. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings > Application.

kateconverse That's great to hear. Do you know which specific background task is at fault here? I'd like to be able to tell any other players who show up with this exact issue.
My apologies! It was the discord app. I have Microsoft 11 I believe and the app was causing the glitch. I just use it on my browser now and uninstalled the app itself.
