Today, I have lost my old steam account after it got hacked, meaning that I had to delete the Sims 4 and then reinstall it through the EA App. I have saved the Sims 4 folder during it reinstall through my mods folder. Does this mean I will get all my data and rewards backs since Usersettings file is in the folder in the backup data file since I saved it during reinstallation?
SweetShineKah UserSetting.ini doesn't have anything to do with login rewards anymore, and even accountDataDB.package only holds interim data about the rewards. The items are now tied to your EA account, not your user data.
Having said that, I actually don't know what would happen to someone who was previously playing through Steam and now has unlinked their Steam and EA accounts. I would expect the items to still be available, but it's possible they wouldn't be. Please let me know what you find.
