Hi, I’ve had Sims 4 on my steam deck for a while and recently it won’t even launch it just stays on the Steam loading icon, and then force closes back to the play button. I haven’t changed any of the settings before it stopped working. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling it two times, verified the integrity of my files, deleted all my mods, changed the proton, updated the EA app, and changed the launch option to “-dx11”. May someone please help me!

But please try the workaround anyway.
If that doesn't help, do you use mods or custom content? A number of mods broke with the recent patch, so you'd need to test without this content at least once.
Separately, the game would be running in DirectX 11 mode anyway; that's been the default for almost all systems for a while now. If you want to try DirectX 9 mode, use the -dx9 command line argument. It did help a couple of Steam Deck users months ago even if it shouldn't be necessary in general.
