Super Toddler Secret Mission

I’m stuck with the task “ask for cookies”. I’ve read other gamers reports having the same issue. I have the “classic cupboard” and when I have an adult or the toddler select it, the item highlights but no options appear. 

I am using apple device if this makes any difference for advice. 

I am unable to start other quests while I am stuck. How do I resolve the issue or quit the quest?
