Crashing.

I had this issue recently. It was caused by too many decorations.

How decorated is your town?
How many snake logs/stumps/rocks/speakers?
Have you logged in today to collect rent and complete tasks?

I may be able to help.
  • My town is very decorated and I did put some more decorations in today. I've put away most of my Whacking day stuff though....probably about 5 or 6 rocks left in my town.

Shouldnt be enough to crash it.

What are the specs on your device?
  • Just because I don't have a lot of whacking day stuff, I do have tons of tree's, bushes, flowers, fences and such. I have all land unlocked and it's mostly all developed out. I've tried it on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S3, Motorola Xoom and my PC (through Bluestacks). The devices are pretty good hardware but not the latest and greatest of what's available.

I have over 4000 decorations in my town and I use a sgs3. What caused it to crash me out was when I had 100 snake logs/stumps and 150 snake speakers placed. Because they have animations they choke out the processing. What I needed to do was get a mate to help with his i7, 12gb ram super computer. Bluestacks loaded it (barely) then and all the snake generating items got stored and i regained access on my phone.

I think youre going to need to find a proper good computer and try to run it through bluestacks on that.

    good luck, mate.
  • Hmm. My computer is an Intel I7 2.4GHz machine with 16GB Ram, 2GB Video memory and a hybrid hard drive. It's extremely powerful and fast yet it still can't load my town in Bluestacks. It gets past the initial loading screen and then it starts to draw my town but faded out before crashing. It would make sense that it's over-landscaping though as I added probably 300-400 new landscape items today. Too bad.

This is the computer I'm trying to load it up on:

    have you tweaked your bluestacks?

bluestacks by default runs on between 300-700mb of dedicated memory. You can change it in the registry to use more and speed it up and make it run smoother.

If you run regedit and direct yourself to the picture below located at:

    hkey_local_machine > software > bluestacks

and then right click on the memory entry and modify it. In the picture below I gave it 3000mb of dedicated memory. Just remember to select the decimal radio button before entering a value.

It might assist you in loading it. :)
  • Just tried upping the memory limit in Bluestacks to 3000 and to 5000 and it's still crashing at the same point (although it seems to be getting there faster). I may have to borrow someone's iOS device tomorrow for a few minutes and put some of my things into inventory. It's too bad that EA can't make this game stable.
