Stuck in a loop on tutorial at Vee map intro

The tutorial has become stuck in a loop at the part where vee introduces the map.  I can spam the gamepad buttons and get into the menu, but when you go back to the map icon, it jumps back in the loop and the game is unable to continue.  I have also tried closing the game.  Re-installing the game.  Going into someone else's game and transferring to the other players position.  Changing settings.  Nothing has worked.  Please help :)
