Can't Cancel Get Famous Audition

I've been having this issue with all of my sims who I try to make famous. It usually starts after a few days of starting auditions, and then it prevents me from cancelling auditions and then attending gigs in the future. The first time this happened I looked everywhere and tried every in name solution like doing the career gig picker cheat, starting a new job, doing it from the computer, not traveling, etc. It recently happened again on another save with another sim, so I restarted my computer and created a backup save (and the other steps) for the actual Sims 4 folder. I also tried doing the repair option multiple times on the EA app, but absolutely none of these solutions worked. It's really frustrating, especially considering this has been happening over a span of less than a week, and I just got the pack. I have no mods or CC and I haven't downloaded anything else. Not pools, I haven't traveled, nothing. I honestly don't know what to do, so any help is appreciated.
