This is happening for me as well, I ignored it for a while, thinking I just needed a repair, but after a repair and some time passed it is still happening.
On top of this, since the update, the game has also gone back to not allowing more than one teen interact with the high school day (event ui shows up for one teen but not the other). I am wondering if this is related to the same base issue or not, since both the holiday UI and the High-school years UI both got an (unfortunate and awful) update.
