I am having this issue too. I am on PS5, no mods. I am using the farm plots from Cottage Living and am in Nordhaven.
Sim will go up to the plant, not do anything and the action will disappear from the side bar. My plants have died.
Happens no matter how many plants are in the box. The Sim would water them when I played yesterday but won't now. Plants were: snapdragons, bluebells, onions, spinach, daisies and strawberries.
