Copy of my game with mods and CC removed.
My Sim continues to wear and feel the effects of her crafted earrings even after I've had her remove them from all outfits.
The option to "wear" is available even though she has them on.
8:56 AM She still has the gem moodlet a day after removing them. "Frown Turnaround (From Wearing Charged Alabaster) Doli is embracing peace of mind. Anger, sadness, shame, and fear will swiftly fade away."
11:58 PM Still wearing them after attending her daughter's High School Graduation. Still has the moodlet. Still has the option to "wear."
The only way to remove them is to go into CAS and remover the earrings from every outfit.
On the plus side: They never drain, because - they're always in her inventory.
Adding: Most of my Sims buy jewelry at one of my played Sims' [GW] retail jewelry store.
