When i click adopt the sim just picks uo the dog and puts it down, ive tried on different worlds, loaded games, and new games, different houses etc. so it dosent seem to be a mods issue, this started...
Ideas
Every "fix" is the promise of another break. In the same boat with inability to adopt two precious puppies currently scampering through the house. I don't want to lose them, so I guess the best thing to do is play another house until there is a fix (how long? tooooo long!)

For those who wants to adopt cat/dog ASAP: There are two solutions;
1. [HARD ]Go to Manage World, find a stray and merge it with household manually (might not find stray you're looking for!!)
2. [EASY] Use MCCC. Click a stray > MCCC. Then "Maintain" > Bottom section "Adopt" > Choose your household Sim > OK.
Even that doesn't work anymore not on console
