my cats and dogs are following my sims around the house and do not do anything on their own, just standing aroung and sleeping - Im not sure if this is all the expansion has to offer. very often my pets get "stuck" somewhere in a room, not eating, not peeing - nothing. I have to call them to get them away. at the vet a patient cat didnt "go" on the table where I would check the disease, but the medical examination already started. my sim got stuck into one of my employees. my employees are doing the absolut minimum and I think they are getting stuck as well just like the owner of a pet patient - just staring into oblivion. I bought the expansion one week ago and I am not having that much fun. I was expecting a game without bugs and stuff for this amount of money.
