[CL] Hackathon Interaction Missing from Festival Computers

I had a similar problem where at first even though it was started I couldn't get the option either but after a couple of minutes I was able to do it. never seen that before but then I don't tend to go to these things generally. 

I have been playing a lot of Sims 4 in recent weeks and every time I take my sim to Geek Con they hackathon is not showing up on the computers. I have recently deleted, reinstalled, and run a repair of the game. I also did a delete and deleted all EA Sims 4 folders on my pc too and the issue is still appearing. 

Jesus,they still didnt solve this problem after Nov.4th update.

My sim went to geekcon and when the challenges began, the option to participate in hackathon wasn't showing up. This has been an issue since the update before 4/11 

I play with no mods or CC and never have. I last played in July when the July 1 update broke everything. I started playing again on November 4 after the big patch. I have noticed some improvements, but the Geek Con event doesn't work correctly anymore. 

I send my sim to the Con, and when the notification comes that sims can participate in the ultimate gaming test or the hackathon, both the gaming mats and the computers display the correct flashing animation that they always have. When I click on a gaming mat, the option to participate in the ultimate gaming test IS there. I'm able to participate and win (or lose) as usual.

However, there is no option to join the Hackathon when I click on a flashing/glowing open computer. It used to be on the first screen when you clicked on the computer, but it's no anywhere, not even in the programming subheader. I have tried it with two different brand new saves after repairing my game, have tried with low programming skill, medium, and max skill. The option isn't there. 

Same problem here. Started after latest patch.  I use the hackathon all the time in rags to riches. This is really annoying.  I guess we're in for a years long wait for them to fix this. Waiting for a modder to create a script fix. 

I've also been unable to compete a hackathon in two different brand new saves. It worked when I played in July but a couple of weeks ago I was completing the event and noticed that the option to participate in hackathon was no longer on the computers. I thought maybe when the update came and the event UI disappeared it would come back, but it's still just not there. I have done all the usual things to fix it and have never played with CC or mods.

I can also confirm that the gaming test only gives a score of 30. I had three different sims all play, and all of them failed with a 30.

It's the same for me. Orange outline on both the computers and the game mats, but only the game mats have an option to participate in a contest. I removed my mod folder, restarted the game twice, and travelled away and back to the festival. No change. There goes a major $$$ payout for my sim!!! Not happy.

Same for me.  Started right after November 4th patch.  Worked fine that morning when my Sim won the computer.  Now the computers glow but no option to participate in Hackathon.  Can still do the ultimate gaming tests on the game machines.
