I was playing when I encountered a bug affecting my Sim's autonomy; my Sim would freeze and stop doing anything on their own. Pausing and unpausing the game didn't help—the Sim remained stuck and wouldn't move autonomously. However, when I paused the game, a PC/laptop icon appeared in the interaction bar with a "Chat with" option for the computer. I discovered that removing the PC or laptop from the lot and placing it in the Sim's inventory restored their autonomy. I’ve tested this with various PCs and laptops and even moved the furniture around, but they all cause this autonomy bug. I play the full game—completely vanilla, with no mods or custom content.

Actually, it's happening with any computer or desk/chairs I use. Only fixed when I completely delete the computer.

I am having this exact same bug on Xbox, with the same laptop. The desk is from High School Years, and the chair is from Journey to Batuu

I have the same, but they get stuck just having conversation all the time, no computer on the lot. Gets unplayable with more than 2 sims. All the needs go red if i dont pay attention.

Hi crinrict
Yes, I tested various desks and chair combinations, but there would still come a point in the gameplay where my Sim's autonomy would freeze; my Sim would only go back to doing things on their own once I removed the PCs/laptops from the lot.
