[CONSOLE] Cheats menu getting stuck

i’m having the exact problem too (ps5 player) 

I’m having the same issue 😭

so i’m a ps5 player, i cant do any cheats, i can only type “testing cheats on” and nothing else because the screen for the cheats will not go. Also if i go onto the gallery and try to download a sim it’s says about an updated version on the game. i have refreshed/looked for updates everything and nothing is coming through. 

Every time I activate my cheats the game freezes, sometimes I’m still able to save it but the cheats bar freezes in white on the top of my screen and I can’t do anything other access the pause menu. Please help me fix this. I’m also playing with newly edited sims that was already in the game

When I use cheats in the game, about 75% of the time, the console window won’t disappear. Even when I hit the back button, try to type on it, etc. This means I have to exit the game file and load back in just for one cheat. Has anyone else had any trouble with this? Is it something I can fix or is it another problem with the game? It’s just really frustrating having to exit the game and load back in for every. single. cheat. 

Hi, every time I enter a cheat code, the code bar does not disappear when I'm finished and my screen freezes. When this happens, I cannot do anything except close the game.

I play on PS5 and I've noticed recently it happens specifically when I'm using the full motive cheats on my infant or toddler. Less so when it's being used on adult or child Sims, though. 

After I bring up the testing cheat bar on my ps4 I am able to type in 1 cheat code. After that a cursor shows up, won't let me type in another cheat code and the cheat bar screen won't go away. I have to close the game. 

I have restarted my ps4 and the same thing happens. 

Whenever you need to type, eg search bar in build/buy mode or cheats bar or, most annoyingly when trying to enter simoleons when moving a sim out of the household or transferring simoleons to/from a business, a keyboard pops up on the screen for console players to enter this info in. Randomly, the mouse icon gets stuck and is fighting you to stay in the middle on the letter G. So you cant type at all unless its the letter G. I just got a new controller so its definately not stick drift. 

Im on ps4 with no cc or mods because you cant get these on consoles. 

Still experiencing this issue and I’m on Xbox series S. Been ongoing for weeks now, it happens after every update
