[CONSOLE] Cheats menu getting stuck

Since the new update for console, the cheat bar gets stuck on the screen. It still works and I can enter cheats, but it will not close afterward.

I’ve tested this multiple times across multiple new save files, and the issue happens every time. The only thing I can close is the PlayStation on screen keyboard used to enter cheats, the cheat bar itself remains stuck on the screen.

Because the cheat bar won’t close, it prevents normal gameplay and makes it difficult to interact with anything unless I pause the game or switch to menu.

I’m a PS5 console player and I’m experiencing a serious issue with the cheat bar/keyboard that is making the game nearly unplayable.

I tried creating a new game and using cheats. At first, the cheat bar worked normally, but eventually it stopped closing. Once the cheat bar gets stuck, I can’t click on anything in live mode unless I pause the game and go to the main menu, Manage Worlds, Settings, etc.

If I go to Manage Worlds and select a household, the cheat bar becomes stuck again. Reloading a save or creating an entirely new save does not fix the issue,

the cheat bar still gets stuck every time.

I’ve never had this problem before and have tried multiple workarounds with no success. This issue is extremely frustrating and completely disrupts gameplay for console players who use cheats.

Please look into this and fix the issue so the game is playable again.

I find it happens mostly in households with toddlers and infants. 

I was having the dame issue for awhile. I ended up having to go to manage worlds just to get back to my gameplay.

I press L1,L2,R1,R2 to open the queue for cheats but the screen gets stuck in the queue. I don’t know how to get out. Is anyone else having this problem on console?

This is happening to me now all of a sudden. I can't even go to manage worlds or exit to the menu. Everytime I do that my whole game just crashes. Just had an update couple days ago to fix 150 plus bugs which is already an outrageous number. But yet its still bugged out and glitches 

same here it is so annoying

When I open up my cheat box in game the bar is white out and freezes my game. I then have to exit my game. 

I know this is old, but for anyone still having the issue — the cheat bar finally worked for me when I switched to Build Mode before using it!
