[CONSOLE] Cheats menu getting stuck

For me, all other cheats are still activated after going to manage worlds except  from enablefreebuild, and I really really need it so this bug is annoying. 

I'm a PS5 player. I'm also experiencing this issue and it's really bothering me. PS5 players have to use cheats to deal with all the bugs on their own, so they can't play properly.

Sept 28, 2025 PS4 player and I cannot do anything with the cheats bar. In the middle of typing it turns white and locks the screen. Have to keep closing the game. I hope this gets resolved soon as many have said, it's hard to play the game on a console without the mods so this really needs fixed. 

Just happened to me a few minutes ago. I see this is from 3 months ago? Still no fix? 

So whenever I enter anything in the cheat bar/console It'll freeze my game and I'll have to go to manage world's or type a cheat in that'll take me to creat a sim then exit that with no further problems unless I do it again in which case I'm back to where I started, seems to only trigger if you've got multiple sims in your household, my guess is it gets stuck on you swapping to another sim and the cheat console at the same time instead of the cheat console taking priority over anything else so nothing else can trigger it, that should be permanent fix so if something comes along similar to this bug It'll be Impossible for it to accrue again and hopefully for every platform that doesn't have the bug yet It won't most likely, also to be clear I'm not 100% sure what causes it to happen but that seems likely, Idk just really hope it gets fixed because this wasn't a problem last time I played, anyways appreciate all the effort to try an fix as many bugs as y'all can on the sims team thanks.

So frustrating. Not sure why it keeps happening. And this, along with the crashing while saving problem, it isn't easy to play. 😢 (on PS5 all packs)

4 months later and this is still happening to me. it’s literally ruining my game. I’m also on console (ps5) i open the cheat window in live mode, type testingcheats true then it freezes. i can still access the cheat window to type but cannot back out of it. If i try to type cheats after that they do not work. i can only get out by going to manage worlds or closing the game. It’s actually infuriating bc i NEED the cheats as a workaround for a DIFFERENT BUG. 

Hello I’m having issues with the cheat bar not going away 

when I want to use cheats the cheats will work but the bar will not go away I would have to go to options and go back to manage worlds to get the cheat bar to go away or use a certain cheat that takes me into Cas. Can we please look into this 

When I press the L1 R2 L2 R2 so I can put the bb.moveojects or any other cheat I get a white bar instead of a green one. When that happens I cant type anything in. The only thing it let's me do is press Options button which let's me save and then I have to restart the game. This only happens to me sometimes and I cant figure out how to fix it.
