[CONSOLE] Cheats menu getting stuck

Just got hit by that one on PC. Not only the game became unresponsive, but the cheat failed to activate at all.

I'm also having this issue. I play on Xbox One. For anyone else with this issue, a work around to this without closing the game is to press the pause menu and go to manage worlds and then load back into the household. Make sure save as well.

After putting the cheat codes in it doesn't allow you to come out of it.  You’ve got to go on manage worlds and go back into the household to get out of it.  Can’t take pregnancy tests.  Unable to drag objects into bins/sinks. 

I'm using a PS4 and having the same issue! It's making the game unplayable! 

 Jade2018​  This has saved me! Never thought to do this, thank you so much. I was gonna text my son (whose upstairs) to come get the mouse so I could try that as a solution. I find connecting a mouse when certain things get stuck allow me a work around. I hadn't tried with this particular glitch as yet, and now I don't need to. Side note, when the cat is sleeping on me, I dare not disturb. But you saved me from being ridiculous, my game from having to exit, and the cat from being rudely awakened. LMBO

Whenever I try to open the cheat bar using L1 + L2 + R1 + R2, the cheat bar appears at the top of the screen — but then everything freezes. I can still move the camera, but I can’t type, interact, or close the bar. Pressing Circle or trying to open any menu doesn’t work either. The only way to exit is to close the game completely from the PS4 home screen.

This happens every single time, and it never happened before the update.

I own almost all expansion packs, including the latest ones — except for the Fairy pack and the Death-themed one. I’m not using any mods or custom content. This problem happens in both old save files and brand new ones.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

• Restarting the game
• Starting a new save
• Rebuilding the PS4 database
• Deleting and reinstalling the game from the disc
• Using both a controller and a USB keyboard

None of these fixed the problem. Since the issue only began after the July update, I believe it’s a bug introduced by the patch.

Please let me know if this is being looked into or if there’s a workaround. Thank you!

On ps4 after I open the cheat bar it freezes and I can’t close out of it all I can do is tap the bar again and the keyboard appears again but I can’t close it. I tried switching to manage worlds, restarting the whole game, going back to main menu, and nothing is working. It’s been happening since this latest update patch and it’s hard to use cheats. Does anyone else know how to fix this?

I’ve had the same trouble too on ps4.  It’s been doing it since the update on the 1st July.  

I Play on PS4 and every time I bring up the cheat menu it bugs out and won't let me go back to playing. I have to go all the way back to manage worlds for it to stop bugging out. 

Yes this just happened to me like 4 times in a row and trying reset and hard rest on Xbox. Idk why they charge full price anymore
