[CONSOLE] Pop-up menus get stuck on screen

Mine has just done exactly the same thing. You can't predict these pop ups so for example I was placing candy from my sims inventory on display for my small business. As I selected an item a pop up from another household member at school popped up and now I am completely blocked from doing anything. So i will lose any progress from the last time it saved. I am on console so I never have CC or mods.

FYI this is happening almost daily now, I have to continually save my game every 15mins or so, because the minute I go to place something from my inventory I seem to be unlucky enough to get a pop up asking if I want to join my sim at work. But I cant choose an option because my cursor is still in place object mode! So i have to close the whole game and reboot it. This is driving me mad! I just want to play my game! 😭

Im on console and I've had this happen alot lately, I'll be placing or moving objects in live mode and a pop up will come up e.g. 'would I like to join my sim at work', but i cant select yes/no as my cursor is still holding an object. Neither can I place/let go of the object the cursor has currently selected as the popup is taking priority. It means I have to force-close the game and lose any progress since I last saved, then sit through all the loading screens again for the next 5 mins, it's putting me off playing as it's such a hassle :(

Can the pop ups at least time out or have a limited time to respond like the mini pop up when a sim send a text message?

Whenever i am holding an item in game (eg, plate, seeds, garbage) and some sort of pop up appears at the same time where i need to make a selection (e.g work/school choice, family dynamic). The game recognises i’m holding the object and will not let me maybe a selection no matter if i click on the available options.  i cannot seem to reset this is anyway. The only option is to exit the game resulting in lost progress. 

Incredibly frustrating, especially if i have not saved the game in a while. PLEASEEEE FIX, happens too often to me 😭😭😭🫶🏼

Issue:

Any in-game pop-up (milestones, likes/dislikes, Growing Together notifications, etc.) causes the UI to freeze if a Sim is holding an object or is mid-interaction, such as eating or carrying items.

What happens:

The Yes/No options cannot be selected and no controls work. The game does not unfreeze and the only way to continue is to quit the game, which causes loss of unsaved progress.

Same issue here since ever. Just occured again atm. Wanted to drag trash into the bin and then a Pop Up showed about my sim liking to bake. Now  i'm stuck and can only close and restart the game.
