I just downloaded the recent update earlier in the day 4/29/25, which I presumed automatically turned off mods though I do play with a few script mods like UI cheats, MCCC, BBB and a UI color mod.

Crashes on Mainmenu

I can't wait any longer to see if EA and the Maxis team decide to do something, so I took the liberty of trying your advice. Here's what I did:
1. I pulled the saves folder from my The Sims 4 folder in documents and put it on my desktop.
2. I turned on the game, got to the main menu (the game didn't crash!).
3. I enabled custom content and mods in the settings. Then you always have to restart the game (turn it off and on again) for the change to take effect.
4. So I turned the game off and put the files from my original saves folder into the newly created saves folder. I didn't delete any files, not even the newest one.
5. I turned the game back on, resumed my last save, and got to my household. It seems to be working fine.
I don't have time now to check it for a longer period of time and see if maybe the game crashes again after playing for a while. I'll try later.
