I just downloaded the recent update earlier in the day 4/29/25, which I presumed automatically turned off mods though I do play with a few script mods like UI cheats, MCCC, BBB and a UI color mod.

I'm having this issue too. Tried the steps mentioned in the solution by taking my save files out, loading the game and making a new save, enabling mods & cc in game settings and moving my Mod files back in my Sims 4 folder, however when I put my old save file back and try to load it the game will crash whereas the new save files still work fine
