I play on my PlayStation 5 and the new event is not letting me claim anything. On the home event screen it says next reward in 4 days 19 hours and then on the gameplay screen it says please wait and try again as the gnomes try to fix the failure. Is anyone else having this same issue? I’ve been waiting and have been sooo excited for this event to come out 😭 Anything helps!!

Do you think it's an EA issue? Or do you think it's one of my mods? Because I know that the game just updated on the 21st but I want to know why this is popping up and how to fix it.
This has happened to me again; it's back to
...and the event page no longer shows the first week's rewards as claimed, even though I was able to after restarting the EA App previously. I do still have the items in game though.
I will update this the next time I reopen the EA App with if it comes back or not.
Edit: Nope, still locked this time.
Try going to the game files and move the accountDataDB.package file to your desktop. Usually in past events removing this file to let a new one spawn fixed the issue. It worked for me this time as well.

Cautiously optimistic update for me: there was a new Sims update to download on my console yesterday-ish, and the current rewards became available to claim when I logged in today. All the items for weeks 1–2 appear in build/buy and CAS as they should. 😊 I will report back if something changes, but that update seems to have fixed things for me.
I have logged in the required amount and all rewards are still locked. In game it says please wait while gnomes fix the issue. I am on console

I also had this issue. No mods or cheats as well. Game is also fully updated as well.
Have you tried hitting the “repair” button before playing? I did so just now, and it cleared everything up!
I am also experiencing this issue on my pc (Windows 11), and I have no mods or cc. The first week worked without any issue, so I claimed the first 5 rewards, but this week has the event greyed out with a "Please wait and try again as the Gnomes try to fix the failure" message listed. All the items I collected last week show uncollected in the event but unlocked within build mode. I've logged in and out of my game, rebooted, and tried a different day of the week but no luck so far.
Edit: I resolved this for my game by logging out of the EA client and signing back in. My event issue was resolved as soon as I loaded my game again.
5/27/26 Edit: The event was greyed out again today when I logged in, so I repeated the sign out and back into EA I did previously, then reloaded the game which resolved the issue once more. Seeing as the event is a log in based reward system, it makes me wonder if the 'Keep me signed in' client feature isn't conflicting with this event a bit.
5/28/26 Edit: Event was greyed out again, so I repeated the steps above which resolved it once more. I think I've confirmed it's tied to the EA client log in, so I turned that feature off.
5/29/26 Edit: Today I confirmed the event works properly for me if I manually sign into EA instead of using the 'Keep me signed in' client feature through sessions. I then repaired my game, and turned the 'Keep me signed in' setting back on, so I can see if this will resolve the daily error or continue with the same pattern.
5/30/26 Edit: The event was greyed out again with the 'keep me signed in' client feature turned back on. The game repair yesterday didn't fix that, so I've turned the setting back off for now as I'm fairly sure it's linked with my game event.
Trying the play the masquerade event and it says the gnomes are trying to fix the failure. Sims team please fix this I love playing the events. I even tried to log out and log back in and nothing. I don't use cheats/mods either.
