[DHD] Phones filter unclickable; Romance Skill shows no items

In Dream Home Decorator gigs, “Likes Phones” and “Likes Romance Skill” can be selected as client preferences, but I cannot find any matching Build/Buy objects.

Their Build/Buy behavior is slightly different:
- “Likes Phones” does not respond when I click the preference icon.
- “Likes Romance Skill” responds to the click, but shows “No results found.”

For “Likes Romance Skill,” I also tried placing romance-related objects from Lovestruck, as well as a computer and television, but the gig still failed.

In both gigs, I removed all objects matching the clients’ disclosed dislikes. One client also showed positive reactions during the reveal. However, both gigs ended with §0 pay and a large decrease in career reputation. In the Romance Skill gig, my Sim also received a moodlet indicating that the client’s preferences were not understood.

The attached screenshots use the Japanese UI and show both the selected client preferences and the Build/Buy results for each preference.

This occurs with mods and CC removed. It happened before the July 21 2026 update and still occurs after the update.
I also have separate save files that reproduce each issue.

Current workaround:
I reload a save from before accepting the gig. Accepting the same gig again rerolls the client preferences, so I continue only when all selected preferences have matching Build/Buy objects.

Please either prevent preferences with no matching objects from being selected for DHD gigs, or add matching objects so these preferences can be fulfilled.

Update:
I did some further testing with the gig that originally showed the following preferences:
- Dislikes Farmhouse Decor
- Likes Phones
- Dislikes Acting
I reloaded a save made after accepting the gig and arriving at the client’s home, then did the following:
- Asked every household member again about their likes and dislikes regarding colors, decor styles, and hobbies
- Suggested a different decor style to one of the clients
- At that point, “Dislikes Farmhouse Decor” was replaced with “Likes Mission Decor”
- Chose a different room to renovate
- Removed all furniture from that room
- Furnished it mainly with items tagged as Mission Decor
- Added objects related to the household members’ hobbies
- Removed furniture in colors they disliked and added colors they liked
After doing this, I received the payment and my decorator reputation increased significantly.
Because of this result, it now seems likely that the previous low client rating was not caused solely by the “Likes Phones” preference or by the fact that the Phones icon could not be clicked in Build/Buy Mode.
At this point, I am only reporting the unclickable Phones icon as a possible UI bug.
Other preference icons, such as Farmhouse Decor, Mission Decor, and Acting, can be clicked and correctly display matching items.
I still do not know whether the “Likes Romance Skill” preference affects gig evaluation. Unfortunately, I did not keep a save from before asking the household members to leave the house so that I could enter Build/Buy Mode, so further testing of that case may be difficult.

I have updated the thread title to better reflect the current findings:
Previous title:

New title:
[DHD] Phones filter unclickable; Romance Skill shows no items
Since I was able to complete the gig successfully despite the “Likes Phones” preference, I removed the claim that it causes gigs to fail.
The confirmed issue is that the Phones filter cannot be clicked in Build/Buy Mode. The Romance Skill preference still shows no matching items, but I do not yet know whether that is a bug or intended behavior.
