š¤£Sounds like real life somewhat. You can't fish when the pond is frozen over as well as having several inches of snow on the ground.

Sucks, but arguably realistic (and perhaps one of the only things not making natural living Too Easy)? Better get all that foraging in before the lean winter month, I guess...

It should at least say "Can't forage in the snow!" or something if that's the case, but there's several foraging types that don't even rely on it being dirt, like finding posters and snowglobes in San Myshuno, so snow shouldn't stop it.
I fear this is another obvious bug they're going to declare is "by design, because we designed it that way, even if it's an obvious oversight".
Arguably foraging anywhere in snow would make MORE sense if we're to believe sims are just digging around in the dirt for stuff people dropped. - Malymin3 months agoNew Traveler
Ah, I didn't think about foraging in places like San Myshuno. With that in mind, we should absolutely be able to forage in snow! Even if they decided to lock out foraging for food (and now that I think about it, we do have harvestibles that grow in winter), foraging for collectibles being impossible in snow makes 0 sense.
My sim didn't have any problems with foraging in snow covered areas if the ground was suited for foraging.

Intern_Waffle_64ā does foraging work if you choose the same place in summer ?

I tried all over the place, it never let me do it, even in spots i knew for a fact were dirt and work for foraging (my yard has a bunch of pebbles around for flavor which do block it, so i have dedicated spots for it)
