Issue Description:
When a Sim clicks the hygiene auto-solve button and a dumpster is present on the lot, the game incorrectly routes the Sim to nap in the dumpster instead of performing a hygiene-increasing activity (e.g., showering, bathing). This occurs despite napping in a dumpster decreasing Hygiene rather than increasing it . The issue was observed on a Sim with the Lazy and Slob traits, though it is unclear if traits are a contributing factor.
Expected Behavior:
The hygiene auto-solve should route the Sim to a hygiene-increasing activity, such as:
- Taking a shower
- Taking a bath
- Washing hands at a sink
- Using a pool or hot tub
Napping in a dumpster should never be suggested as a solution for low Hygiene, as it actively makes the problem worse.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place a dumpster ("A Very Fine Dumpster") on a residential lot .
- Have a Sim with low Hygiene need (or intentionally lower it).
- Click on the Hygiene need icon in the needs panel to trigger auto-solve.
- Observe where the Sim routes.
Actual Result:
- The Sim routes to the dumpster and performs the "Nap in Dumpster" interaction.
- Napping in a dumpster further depletes the Sim's Hygiene need and makes them Uncomfortable .
- The auto-solve fails to solve the intended need and instead worsens it.
Additional Notes:
- The game's auto-solve system appears to be prioritizing the dumpster incorrectly over actual hygiene objects.
- The Slob trait allows Sims to "Rummage for Food in garbage" and makes them unaffected by dirty surroundings, but it does not make napping in dumpsters a valid hygiene solution .
- The Lazy trait may influence the auto-solve system to favor "napping" activities, but this does not justify routing to an activity that harms the targeted need.
Impact:
Moderate to High. Players using the convenient auto-solve feature for Hygiene needs will be frustrated when their Sim ignores available showers/baths to nap in a filthy dumpster, making their Hygiene worse. This is especially problematic for Sims with low Hygiene who are already uncomfortable. The bug effectively breaks the auto-solve functionality on any lot containing a dumpster.
