Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

That's exactly what I said. Only custom content has been broken. Script mods are fine. Are they really trying to force us to buy the bs in their marketplace?? I will NEVER pay for Maxis match CC.

Also, when this happened, was it in a newly generated user folder and you'd copied over files, not folders?

Nymaeh​ This is really helpful info! Could you please provide your user folder and include this info with the DM? (See the top post for instructions.) This is the first I've seen someone who gets it working some of the time and doesn't see everything having loaded right after that. Please also provide info about your computer specs and storage. 

My CAS cc is causing my game to crash. If I take out clothing and hair from a certain creator, my game runs smoothly. I have been using this cc for a very long time. Has his issue been fixed?

89Krittle​ Thank you for the memory boost info. That seems to be consistent with some other reports, at least as far as player settings are concerned. My testing has also concluded that it's not the CC files that are broken. I believe this is going to turn out to somehow be related to folders, but it's complicated -- I couldn't replicate it when I was working to clarify that this wasn't something modders needed to be the ones to fix.

Please try this set of steps: 

1. rename your user folder (the one Mods is inside of). I usually also drag it to my desktop.
2. start the game and exit to create a new user folder
3. Copy CC files over but don't copy the folders. Instead, make new folders manually.

swiftieethereal​ Yeah, nobody saw this one coming, and it hasn't affect a lot of us, either, which makes it weird and complex. I haven't been able to replicate it on my own computer, even with a lot of info from players who have it. (That was half my day yesterday!). Please do see the top post about providing user folders to help solve this.

After that, try this:

Jaelle75​ The post at the top of this thread is there because they're investigating. Right now, they're collecting user folders from players who have this problem. That's needed because a lot of players don't have this problem. I "work" (it's volunteer time) to support CC and mod users, so this first fell in my lap to help find the broken CC. I haven't been able to replicate the issue, even with a user folder that was broken for the player. So this is a complex issue, and needs a lot of info gathering to try to find what those users have in common. 

You can help by providing your user folder. I would suggest other information alongside that -- stuff like your computer specs, your free storage, etc.

After installing the March 18, 2026 patch, the game no longer launches. An error message appears indicating it is an issue on their end and advising to try again later. Is there a solution to resolve this error and restore normal gameplay functionality?

same issue for me after updating yesterday, the game don't run it says:  "an error on end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later". I try all, with mod frolder works with only cc nope. I try also 50/50 and all my cc doesn't work, and if some one time the game start with the same cc  another time the error came again. im' so upset :( i wanna cry
