The Party Starters’ Fog Machine (Party Essentials Kit) no longer has options to emit fog. It only functions as a light.
Does anyone else have this issue?
My problem is not identical but the fog machine doesn't produce fog when I first enter a lot that has one, which makes it really inconvenient to use. I have to turn the light on and off in order for it to start producing fog.

It’s both. I used to have the option of turning on the fog, but now it’s not there. For that reason, the machine doesn’t have any fog because I’m unable to turn it on.

Thanks for this. I didn’t even think to turn the light on. The fog appears again when I turn the light on. Perhaps it’s not a bug after all.
Do you remember a different option before or was that the problem ?
Now I’m not so sure. I thought it used to say “Turn on” but maybe I was wrong. The main thing is that it’s working so it’s all good.
I still have this problem, the fog has never worked in my game. I keep trying it out after every update, still nothing but a floor light :/
AL40491, just checking you’ve actually turned the light off? Turn the light off and then turn it back on.
I tried that and it didn’t help. But I was able to solve the issue a different way. I uninstalled and reinstalled the kit and now it works!
I just got the kit for the fog machine. I placed a few and they work like any light, no special fog option. But even after turning them on individually they dont stay on. I placed a dozen around a lot to create a specific atmosphere but after turning one on, another seems to turn off. In the end only half are on.
it does need a fog only option, i had no fog come on after reinstalling. my problem was an item i downloaded that used the fog (pizza oven) though but also try removing the kit and adding it back (not through the new thing). also if u have mods move the whole folder somewhere safe and start just to test when u place it if it emits fog.
