[FR] Tenant Events still happen when Unit Events are disabled (After 2.28)

Just to clarify, I did look at the bug list, and I did not see this as listed, so just in case I am posting it here so please forgive me if it's already been logged. I play on PlayStation so I cannot attest to the PC player experience. The event toggle to stop events while being a landlord in for rent do not actually stop random events. I still get random charities, pet drives which causes random animals and people to invade my home, cursed books, exploding stoves, etc. Even though I have Enable Rental Unit Events turned off, it still happens anyway. I can only conclude that the toggle is broken. If someone could please look into it, it would be much appreciated. For Rent is not fun to play when this is not actually togglable. Thank you.

this has been fixed a few patches ago. Can you confirm that you're on the newest patch ?

Can you try if turning the option on, go into the game, save, close the game, reopen, set to off again helps ?

Also is this an older save from before Patch 2.23 or newer ?

Hello crinrict . I can confirm that I am on patch 2.28 as of right now.

I started a brand-new test save and followed the same steps I had done in a previous save prior to this report where I had the problem originally just to make sure. Enable Rental Unit Events has been unchecked this entire time. I played for a little while and still got an event, the Tenant Revolt event. Then I tried following your instructions, saving, shutting the game off, reopening the game, and turning the setting on, then off again and played for some more in game days, about a week I would say. However, I got another event, the curse book event. So yes, it seems that the toggle is still not working as intended. Events still happen whether it is on or off. All of this was tested today on a new save.
