Game crashes when clicking on Sim in Legacy Family tree
Hello everyone,
since the base game update introducing the new family tree yesterday ( February 3rd) , I've been having the following problem: When I start my legacy save game, open the family tree, and then try to select a different family member to show their relations within the tree, my game completely freezes and becomes unresponsive. This happens both with and without mods installed. I was previously using the MCCC mod, but I removed it because of the update, and the game crashes at the same point with and without the mod.
Otherwise, the game runs without any problems; I've let it run for several Sim days, and I don't have any issues as long as I'm not using the family tree. Has anyone else experienced this problem and perhaps found a solution? I should mention that my save file is very large; I'm playing my neighborhood in generation 18 and have around 340 actively played Sims that I rotate through, so my family tree is extremely extensive, and it's constantly growing in all directions... but of course I don't want to give up my save file because of the update, as literally years of playtime have gone into it.
I hope a fix can be found for this problem quickly.
