Game freezes when getting married

Ok, so it happens on repeat at the same time and day. In my game first time it was friday 0:03, now I played sim week, I´m on thursday and on 0:03 Friday, it freezes without the chance to save. Or close the game normally.

I know there is a potential fix coming, but I still want to know if you were taking a lot of screenshots? And if the fix relates to screenshots, as well, because my game's been crashing after I take a ton of screenshots.

I've been having the same issue as well. I removed my mods and deleted the cache, but it still freezes right after the confetti or kiss in both the arch wedding interaction and the elope interaction. I have to shut down my whole computer each time it happens because I can't even control-alt-delete out of the game. Very frustrating.

I too noticed this, but with a little bit of patience, it's possible for the game to return to a playable state. I cheated two sims into a marriage, and it took probably around 3-5 minutes for it to process. 

My guess is that the game had to recalculate the family trees of every sim in my game to accommodate the new marriage, just like it recalculates every time I switch households, leading to loading times of 2 and a half minutes instead of the 30 seconds I had before.

I'm surprised births don't force family tree recalculations. I haven't seen a problem with those.

On every loading, the game synchronizes the state of SimInfos with the family tree graph in the save and family relbits between all related sims.

my game always freezes when ever i try to marry my two sims, i added them to the same house so they wouldnt have to move house, ive tried eloping, i've tried using an arch but no matter what i try it freezes. i've tried both with and without mods and it doesnt matter. i've repaired the game, delete cache folder and nothing has helped

oh huh you're right after waiting long enough (probably because i have a veeeeeeery large family tree rn) the game did unfreeze! however trying to open the family tree simply did not load over hours of waiting. that's probably due to the recursive issues with my particular tree, but it's sad anyway

Same issue here, I hope they fix this, it's really starting to get out of hand in my game 

I’m having the same issue. I have tried literally everything and it just keeps freezing. I keep having to exit the game without saving I have literally made no progress in my gameplay. 

Having the same issue. It also happens when I ask a sim to join the household.

As i posted earlier in this forum, when it freezes, go to manage worlds, then get back in the household, they will be married, I've been doing just that the last couple of days, the only solution for now; you dont have to force quit the game.
