[GRO] Infants never get Little Babbler quirk

This is straightforward: Growing Together features an Infant Quirk called "Little Babbler" (internally: "Talker") which seems to work perfectly fine, but is never naturally generated by loot_Infants_AddElements (though it can be assigned via a cheat or the cheat menu). This seems to be an error, since instead of Little Babbler, the list of possible Quirks includes "Self-Soother" twice. In the list of blacklisted traits further down the file, "Talker" appears directly below Self-Soother, so this seems to be a copy-and-paste error.

This is a one-line fix and should be easy to patch. This error was reported twice on the old forums, but without any technical info, so hopefully this helps. For the time being, I've created a mod that restores the Quirk:

Oh yeah! I've had SO many infants and never seen this quirk at all!  Makes sense. Thanks for making the mod.

I have never had this quirk pop up and I've played with probably 6-7 infants recently. Thanks for the report as I had no idea this even existed.

I still have not seen this infant quirk and have played with another 6-8 infants since my last reply to this post.

  • So glad to see that this issue is getting attention again! I'm the one who made the original thread, but it didn't really gain any traction, and then EA migrated the forums (or whatever the word is) and I couldn't figure out if my post transferred over, and I kind of just forgot about it/gave up in frustration. I don't have any programming knowledge, but it sounds like this issue would be a simple fix based on what you found. Really hoping this bug gets more attention this time around (and it seems like it already has, as it's made it onto crinrict's list and has many more votes than the old thread). I love infants and their quirks, and it's such a shame that this quirk got left out over a tiny mistake. I pre-ordered Growing Together and have played with over 300 infants since then, so I'm long overdue for a little babbler lol. Hopefully this is fixed soon! :)
