Issue
The save game starts to disintegrate itself. Lots start to get deleted, causing endless loading, loading into empty lots.

ever since this new update, every time my sim visits a lot, the lot disappears. i have quit and reloaded to no avail. i have to leave my play, download a created lot (or create my own but i am not trying to decorate a vet when i already have one) , and then place the new lot and hope that lot doesn't disappear when i travel to it. i am trying to do the new quest line and i traveled to two different parks because they keep deleting! this is so annoying! what a stupid bug, what did you guys "fix" to create all these issues? there are too many very readily available bugs to believe your team even opened the game before sending this update out. come on.
bookawoo Sorry for your frustration. I found a bug report that you may want to check out if it sounds like it's your issue. There is a post from EA_Cade in the reoprt (a few messages from the top) where he asks for saves if you don't have and never had mods or cc in the game. Please try a game repair and see if the issue remains.
If you do or did have mods or cc in the game and the first game repair didn't fix it, please try moving your Mods folder to your desktop (save it for reference) & delete the localthumbcache.package file (find them in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4). Then do another game repair and open the game to see if the issue is gone.
I play with a ton of mods. I did everything you listed and it's still happening. It even happened with a save I'd sequestered externally.
