[HSY] Teens don't loose acne when aging up to YA

Hi,

I’m sharing a solution that worked for me after trying everything (disabling acne, treatments, cheats, etc.).

👉 Issue:

My Sim aged up and got acne that could not be removed, even as a young adult.

Solution (PC only)

⚠️ Requirements

• MC Command Center (MCCC) installed
• A clean version of the Sim saved in the Library (Tray) 

👉 Saved BEFORE the bug appeared (very important)

 🔧 Steps

1. Load an older save (or a non-bugged version of the Sim)
2. In CAS, save the clean Sim to the Library
3. Load the save where the Sim has permanent acne
4. Click the Sim → MC Command Center
5. Go to MC CAS or MC Dresser (depends on your version)
6. Use the option to copy/paste a Sim from the Tray
7. Select the clean version of the Sim

Result

• Permanent acne is removed
• Name, clothes and settings are preserved
• Bug fixed instantly

⚠️ Note:

This will not work if the saved Sim already had the acne bug.

 Seyjin_o​  created a mod and released it to disable acne; this does not solve the problem, but there should normally be no more acne at all, and the problem will no longer exist.

I have had some sims with adult acne for a while now. Previously I've used the "disable acne in settings - take a shower" method and it has worked, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there another way to get rid of persistent adult acne? I prefer not to use mods.

Bug report is here and you can read through it to see if there’s anything else that might help, but it sounds like if “acne off, take a shower” didn’t work you may need to either use a mod or wait for the bug fix.

I've just had this issue and none of the workarounds worked for me - even aging the sim back down to teen to deal with the acne didn't work. What did work was using the MC Command Centre to fix it:

MC Command Centre > MC Cheats > Cheat Sim Info > Mood/Buff Control > Remove Buff

I looked through the list of buffs until I found two that mentioned teen and acne in them, I got rid of them and then I had the sim freshen up and the acne was gone.

Hello. I had to age my sim down to a teen and use the regular form to wash her face in the mirror. The facial cleanser. I then had to go into cas with "cas.fulleditmode" enabled and turn off her occult for fairy after the acne is gone from regular form. Then add her back to being a fairy, and it was gone. 

Normally I just turn it off play then turn it back on after it goes away but that doesn’t seem to work for fairies 🤷‍♀️ and now I’m frustrated. I love the acne feature but now I just want it fixed 😩

I've tried all the workarounds I've seen as well and haven't been able to clear it from my sim, even with mods... It's a little disappointing this bug is still ongoing after so long
